About Us

John Lentz/ Owner
As a child, John spent his weekends in the garage watching his Dad and friends working on their bikes. Motorcycles were a major part of his life, "in the blood" so to speak. Every week brought a different "adventure" and he couldn't wait to see what was in store. At 18, John joined the U.S. Army and was a light wheel mechanic until discharged. After this, he attended Rosedale Tech, specializing in electrical diagnostics, but he excelled in all areas studied. John then began his career as an automotive technician. He specialized in European imports such as Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz, where he went through extensive training, including becoming ASE Certified. While automotive mechanics were his bread n butter, motorcycles remained his passion. In 1995, he began working on his first major project, a 1975 Shovelhead. It was a complete basket case at first, but upon completion, was a show stopping one of a kind. John continued working as an automotive mechanic for different dealerships and a few independent garages until finally deciding to branch out on his own. In 2005, he and Todd opened Rensel and Lentz Auto & Cycle Repair. The business did well, but had no room to expand. After almost three years, in the fall of 2007, John decided to expand the business and opened A.T.C. Sales and Services, Inc.
Sarah Guerre/ General/Office Manager
Sarah started her career in the automotive industry in 1999 when she began working for Mercedes-Benz as a cashier. She then began working not only in the service department scheduling appointments, but also in the office handling follow-up letters and calls for both the service and sales departments. In 2002, she left to take on a new challenge as a Service Consultant at Tom Henry Chevrolet. She was responsible for delegating work to the technicians, relaying vehicle needs to the customers, and submitting warranty information through GM. This is where she really began to understand vehicle systems and how they operate, as she was in the shop on a daily basis learning from the technicians so that she would be as informed as possible when speaking with customers. She left in 2006 when she and John welcomed their daughter, and from that point on has been at his side in the day-to-day business at the shop.
